    If a Sum equals another cell?

    I have attached a workbook as an example.

    I have a formula that works for the most part. However, when the number I'm trying to match has a number of decimals, Excel will return that the sum and the number do not match even if the numbers are exactly the same?

    IsBook1.xlsx

    So in this example, column C has the formula at the bottom of the data. The function returns "False" even though if you manually sum the range and compare it to the blue number at the bottom they are exactly the same. Any ideas?

    Thanks guys

    Well that formula is comparing A337 and it that would return FALSE.

    Re: If a Sum equals another cell?

    C339=IF(ROUND(SUM(C1:C333),6)=C337,"True","False")
    But your Total is in C334
    Thats why it is giving "False"

    Make
    C339=IF(ROUND(SUM(C1:C333),6)=C334,"True","False")
    Samba

    Re: If a Sum equals another cell?

    Well to start with,....
    =IF(ROUND(SUM(C1:C333),6)=C337,"True","False")
    You have nothing in C337

    2nd, if you sm the values in C, the go out to 17 decimal places (=LEN(MOD(SUM(C1:C333),1))=17)
