    Cannot get VLOOKUP to work

    Hello,

I have been trying this for a long time now, and I just cannot get it to work.

    =VLOOKUP(C89,A69:B83,1,FALSE)

I want to lookup the value in C89 in my range A:69:B8, and I want to return the first value in that range, i.e. from column A. However, it just doesn't work! It looks correct to me, but all I get is #N/A in my field.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
    Tia.

Re: Cannot get VLOOKUP to work

well this formula =VLOOKUP(C89,A69:B83,1,FALSE) is trying to find the value in C89 by looking at A69 through A83 and if it finds it there then it is returning the value itself, the B83 part is irrelevant to your formula. (EDIT) the whole reference to col B is irrelevant.
is it possible the value in C89 is slightly different than the value in A69 through A83 like a hidden space? Those would be the reasons it wouldn't work.
