    Re: nutrition spreadsheet

    Try the VLOOKUP function.

    Re: nutrition spreadsheet

Thanks for the reply, I have looked at the link and I don't think that is what I am after.
I have the following on sheet 1 as data
    Ingredients calories protein carbohydrates fat
    sliced peppers 100grams 31 1.1 4.9 0.4
    diced onion 100g 41 1.2 7.9 0.2
    olive oil 1tbs 135 0 0 15
    turkey mince 100g 100 22.3 0 1.2
    chicken breast tesco 100g 100 23.5 0 1.7
    frozen chicken breast tesco 100 19 0.9 2
    plum tomatos 1 can 74 4 12 0.4
    hovis whoelmeal bread 88 4 15.1 0.7

on sheet 2 I have a pull down list that gives me a selection from the ingredients and I can pick multiple of these. what I am after is the nutritional values to come up as well so if I was to add 1 slice of hovis and one tin of tomato i can get the nutritional values and then add them up. i hope that explains a little better on what I am after

    Re: nutrition spreadsheet

Still not sure why VLOOKUP wouldn't work. Can you upload a sample file?
