I'm fairly new to excel and while I usually try very hard to figure things out for myself, I'm really struggling this time. I cannot seem to find a solution to my problem so I feel defeated and it's driving me crazy so first and foremost, please let me thank you in advance.
What I want is a spreadsheet that lists authors' names in one column and a few columns over, a cell that displays the most mentioned author.
My office is starting a book club and I'm in charge of the spreadsheet.
I need to be able to add all suggestions from all members each month, and remove books we select to read or discard, so I'd like the formula to be able to reflect those changes. I also have a cell where I'd like the most common book to be displayed.
Ideally I'd like to be able to display the top three or four in each category, but I'll take what I can get.
I've attached what I have so far. The information isn't vast, but in a large office we expect around 25 people to be involved, so you can see why I want a formula and would prefer not to have to go through each month and count tallies.
