Pull Date from Previous Cell Unless blank, then pull from the next date to complete formul

    Hello,

This is my first post on here sorry if I'm not clear.

What I have is a schedule. In this document, I have multiple formulas that are dependent of one of two dates. For example, I have a new store whose dates need to be populated by the date provided in the Soft Opening cell. This store has a grand opening as well. Then I have a store that does not have a soft opening but has a Grand Opening, and the dates need to be configured off of that date instead.

Is there a way to easily say, these dates are based off of the Soft Opening date then the Grand Opening Date if there is no Soft Opening?

I have a attached the file.

I have attached a sampe using an IF statement. Change the soft opening date in the row with the green cell to see how the calculation changes. Does this help?

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

Thank you! This helps but I needed the date. Could you post the formula for the process complete date to reflect the information that you updated? That date is what populates the rest of the columns so that date is the only one that is based off the soft opening or grand opening and needs to be updated.

Thank you again for your help.

That didn't quite work. I have two dates to pull from. If I have a soft opening, then the process complete date should be the Friday before the soft opening date. I will still have a grand opening date in that row as well but the information does not affect the following dates.

If I don't have a soft opening, then the process complete date is the Friday prior to the grand opening date.
