    Auto increment a cell/formula every 2 weeks

    Hello all

I work for a very small agency with no electronic bookkeeping. And, to determine current remaining vacation time (not printed on our HAND WRITTEN checks lol) we have to go to the Office Manager who only works 3 days a week.

What I would like to do is add to a personal budgeting spreadsheet an area to calculate remaining vacation time. Something along the lines of:

A1 = vacation time as of today B1 = A1 + 5.33 then every 2 weeks add an additional 5.33. We accrue vacation at 5.33 hours per pay period.

All my searching returns ways of auto incrementing the date not an amount.

Thanks for any help, even if it's HECK NO you can't do THAT.

    Bill

Hello Bill, welcome to the forum!

Could you upload a sample worksheet with exactly what you want? Does your period start on the first Monday of the year? With what you said above, do you start the year with vacation time + 5.33 hours, then add 5.33 hours every two weeks?
Please click the star (add rep) if I helped!

Also, do you want something that would react to deducting time for vacation time used?

I haven't been able to create anything even remotely representative of what I want in a spreadsheet. But, here is a non-automated sheet, starting with this past payday.. And this may be good enough. It's possible I am looking to swat my fly with a sledgehammer. lol

    VacationExample.xlsx

As for start date etc. Zero day is tricky as we can carry over time up to 10 days etc. And since we are in mid year (July to June year) I have time and still accrue time. So I would be starting with time and yes add 5.33 hours every 2 weeks from there. Then move the last payday of the calendar year hours to be the starting hours for the next year.
