I am trying to extract a unique list of customers for each on of my locations so using advanced filter will not work (or so I think) Attached is a very brief example of what im trying to do .

You can use Advanced Filter. Make sure you check "Unique records only"
See attached. The filter criteria is in A25:B26, the result is in G8:H12

substitute commas with semi-colons if your region settings requires
Don't forget to mark threads as "Solved" (Edit First post>Advanced>Change Prefix)

ah, yeah I guess I really didn't know how to use that criteria range ( I thought there needed to be a criteria to set for that range) ill work with that, thanks for the quick reply!
