i am new to excel and i am trying to update a stock sheet

I have tried using vlookup to compare column A to column B to find a match and if there is a match i want to pull the corresponding orderquantity amount in column C and place in it column D..

but i keep getting stuck..

any ideas on how best to do this ?

i have tried modifying this =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,$B$2:$B$9999,2,0),"(NO MATCH)") but with no luck

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,$B$2:$B$9999,2,0),"(NO MATCH)")

Your lookup table consists of a single column. Maybe this...

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,$B$2:$C$9999,2,0),"(NO MATCH)")

i got it to work.. seems a it was a region issue.. my excel i cant use " , " .. i have to use " ;" ..

so it ended up being :
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2;$B$2:$C$329;2;0);"0")
