Matching values between 2 columns and colouring a 3rd

Hi Guys,

I am looking for some help, I have a spreadsheet which is essentially a survey and using a drop down there are 5 available values. This would be filled in by 2 different people and a 3rd column would do a comparision and highlight in either 'Green' for a match and 'Red' for a non match.

How do i do this?

Thanks for the help in advance.

1. highlight the range you want to apply the conditional formatting to
2. on the home tab, styles, select CF
3. select new rule, select use formula
4. enter =AND(A2<>"",A2=B2) format fill GREEN

Repeat 3 and for with =AND(A2<>"",A2<>B2) format fill RED
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
