I have been using a tracking calendar that I created to track attendance and vacation for a few years. Each year I have updated it, and am in the process of doing so again. One of the major features that I would like to implement is a fully functioning vacation tracker. Prior to this, I tracked each vacation day on the calendars, but would have to parse the information into the summary by myself, in order to make sure that their vacation renewed upon their hire date, and that I had the proper number of days used and left. I would like this to be built into the calculations on the calendar. I have included my current build (it is very much broken and under construction, but it gives an idea).
Our employees have their vacation renewed upon their hire date (we don't use an accrual system, though I am not against it). Because of this, there are times when vacation days used no longer apply to the current amount of vacation that an employee has left. Basically, I want it to calculate whether the vacation day used is within their allotted year to use it. How do I do this?
