Counting Vehicle Trips in Date Ranges

Hello,

I am trying to calculate the total tonnage that my vehicles are carrying when entering my yard (example in the attached spreadsheet). Up to five vehicles will enter the yard each day, so there are multiple entries/vehicles for the same date (i.e. 1st October). I have already designed a long list of data showing which vehicles are entering the yard on each day but now there are thousands of entries and it would be too difficult to count everything manually.

I would like the excel function to use the dates in the date range as well as the written tonnage of each vehicle, to sum all the tonnage from all vehicles in each calendar day so I know how much tonnage on each particular day is coming into the yard.
