    VLookup with Large Column Index Numbers

    Hi, is there any easier way to finding column numbers when doing VLookups with large column index numbers? thanks

    Not sure what you are getting at - "easier" than what?

    If you want to know the column number of a column (e.g. column GY) then you can type this formula (temporarily) into any cell of that column:

    =COLUMN()

    which will give you 207, and then delete the formula. If you are not actually in that column but want to know its index number, then you can type this into any cell:

    =COLUMN(GY1)

    Are those two easier than the way you are doing it?
