    Using a formula

    =$D4<NOW()-335

    for yellow

    and =$D4<NOW()-365

    for Red.

    Apply to =$G$4:$G$7

    Yes i saw, but did not work the way i want. if there is date for dec month that also turn to red. I do not how I do this. I am working on employee review file, I want cell to change yellow when they are close to their review and turn red when they pass the date. but I am not sure how to do if the employee start date is like if they start in dec 2009. so their review is not due and not close to due but they also turn to red.

    You entered the wrong formula for RED:
    ="and =$D4<NOW()-365"
    It should be
    =$D4<NOW()-365

    Re: Conditional formatting- Anniversary of a date is due

    Please see the attachment. I am beginning to thing that you are looking for formatting which will give yellow and red each year rather than just for the first anniversary. The attachment has this formatting and has a larger set of dates to test it out.
