    Auto fill for sheet names

    Hi All,
I am trying to figure out how to reference cells on other sheets and be able to autofill the formula. I am using ='01-07 Sep 2014'!$S$8 at the moment, but this just autofills the cell reference.
Is there a way of autofilling so it takes the next sheet rather than cell? I have tried using INDIRECT function but I haven't had any luck with it.

    thanks

    Leigh

Do you have a workbook you could attach for what you want? The Indirect will probably be your best bet once you wrap your head around the syntax.

    Hi leigh3980,
    Welcome to the Forum.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Please see attached for an example of the INDIRECT method. Note, I cheated a bit by altering the labels to match the sheet names (you could also get the same effect by altering the sheet names to match the labels). Leaving both sides of it unchanged would have led to some gnarly conversion formulas.

Referring Yogi's sheet, only one formula will do the trick instead of 12 formulas in the table.
