Is there a quick way to show new, old, changes in values for entries?

I have attached a very basic workbook and was wondering is there a way/formula you can use to display changes between periods of an account?

I used vlookup to match account numbers between two periods to show a change and I know if it shows the same value as the second period's value , then it is a new account? More importantly, how can one find out what is no longer held like the AJAN0101 account in the Jan period?

I would like a worksheet that displays New, No longer, Changed in values, and No change. SHould I try with IF functions or is there a better method?
