Plotting Year wise maximum value & occurance date - the input date is in text format.

Hello Friends

Please find the attached 2010 version excel file <Plotting Year wise maximum value & date.xlsx>.

There is 2 sheets in the file, (1) copper alone (2) analysis. In `copper alone' Column A date is plotted in text format, in Column C values are plotted.

Now In Sheet `analysis' i want to take the maximum value for the given year and maximum value occured date. I tried some formula which is not worked also plotted for reference. Please use the unviersal formulas like A:A instead local formulas A6:A1190 like that since in future i could be able to add the date in bottom of the Column A & C without changing the formula.

Also i plotted th answers (manually calcualted) for cross check the values.

I tried to change the MAX to MIN in your formula to get the minimum figures and it was not working. can you little bit elloborate please ?
