I need the help in following excel trick,
I have below table of Grade and Posts and grade wise % to each post, I want to find value using INDEX and match function in "Find Value
" column
Post
Grade DE DN SME DM
N1 8% 12% 0% 0%
N2 6% 10% 0% 0%
N3 5% 8% 0% 0%
N4 4% 7% 0% 0%
Sr No Grade Post Find Value
1 N1 DE
2 N4 DN
3 N3 SME
4 N2 DE
5 N2 DN
6 N3 DE
7 N4 DM
8 N1 DN

Hello,
Assuming your two tables lie in A2:E6 and A12:E20, where the first result of interest in in cell F13, enter the following formula and copy down,
=INDEX($B$3:$E$6,MATCH($B13,$A$3:$A$6,0),MATCH($C13,$B$2:$E$2,0))
Rule 1: Never merge cells
Rule 2: See rule 1

Have your first tbael values from A3:E6
Second table values from A9:D16
in D9
=INDEX($B$3:$E$6,MATCH(B9,$A$3:$A$6,0),MATCH(C9,$B$2:$E$2,0))
and copy down the table
