    Excel Formula for Transposing

    hi all,

thanks for having a look at my problem.

below is what I have in an excel

    Vendor 1 Elec Mech IT
    Vendor 2 Mech Elec
    Vendor 3 IT Elec

This is what I want to achieve. can someone help me with this formula please.

    Vendor 1 Elec
    Vendor 2 Elec
    Vendor 3 Elec
    Vendor 1 Mech
    Vendor 2 Mech
    Vendor 1 IT
    Vendor 3 IT

the original count of column is 12 here I only showed 3 as an example.

    Thanks

    Re: Excel Formula for Transposing

    Hi XLearner121,

This is a common question that I've written some VBA code to convert. I call this problem a CrossTab to normal Table conversion. Find an example where I did it for Riz. The VBA code is included and should work on your data. If it doesn't work you should attach a sample workbook and I can see why it doesn't.

    Hi Marvin,

Thanks you very much for helping me out. I have attached a sample data which shows the input data in sheet one and output in sheet 2. I tried the macro but I might be doing something wrong.
could you please have a look at it thanks a lot.
