    Having discount calculated.

    Hiya

So I might be over thinking it and I am stumped on this matter now, and I hope somebody here can help me with this matter.

Normally, I use excel to calculate my sales prices and adjust the discounts where applicable, but I want to reverse the matter, say I have the 2 prices gross and net but I want the decimal discount value calculated, when ever I reverse this matter it doesn't add up there always are some slight differences in this, so I am guessing I am overseeing something.

Here is what I normally use below.

So say F2 has a price of $134.50 and I have a discount of 26.85 (%) (G3) means I would have a net price of $ 98.39 this is how I normally work.

But I want to know if there is a way for excel to automatically generate this for me when I only have the discounted price and the gross price.
    Thanks in advance

    Re: Having discount calculated.

    Hi,

Please use the following formula to calculate the Discount%

    =1-(Discounted Price/Gross Price)
