    Column change where pull values from according to the current month has been created.

    Hi All,

    Please let me know if the below are possible and how:

    1. I want column "A" in worksheet "SUMMARY" to change the location where it get the values according to the current month. In same workbook I have worksheets with each month of the year. I want Column "A" in "SUMMARY" to get in MAY the values from worksheet "MAY" Column "A" and next month in Jun the same column "A" in "SUMMARY" to populate with values from column "A" in "JUN" worksheet and so on.

    2. If new values (customer accounts) are found one month (but were not there previous month) to display in cell "B" in worksheet "SUMMARY" the word "NEW" and other way around if same value one month is not present anymore to display "NO DATA". The values are customer account numbers and each month are customers new and some that left.

    I use Excel 2010. Thanks in advance

    Are you looking to et the Account number & Monthly Revenue to display on the SUMMARY worksheet?

    A VLOOKUP function could do this for you.

    Have a look at the attached SUMMARY worksheet in Column 'C' to see Aprils figures displayed from the Apr worksheet.

    Maybe with an macro to get all data of the month on 1 sheet.

    After that a pivot table to analyze your data.

    Hi noboffinme and thanks for your reply. You are correct with the account #'s and monthly revenue to be displayed on the SUMMARY sheet.
    I see the VLOOKUP function works for the first part of my problem. How it can be solved the second part of the problem with:

    Thanks oeklere. Your solution might work but I don't know how to work with the pivot tables. Maybe I don't understand but how is this going to display what I want on the "SUMMARY" sheet every month? Do I have to change the current month in Pivottable? And also how it will display "NEW" and "NO DATA" for new accounts, is that build in that MACRO? Please elaborate for me as I am not an expert in Excel (as you can see ). Thanks

    Hi buznac,

    In the second part, if you want the Formula to recognise new Account IDs month by month, I think you would need a macro.

    OK. Anybody knows how to do that with Macro, I am obviously not familiar at all?
