    Smile Help using "if" function to read from Data table and produce automatic input to cell value

    Hello everyone. I'm struggling with the "if" function to read from a given data table and producing an automatic cell value according to the data that is being read. I have attached an excel sheet that shows what im trying to do. Its fairly simple i imagine but i'm fairly new to excel and programming so any help would be appriciated.

    Firstly thany you for the quick reply . And dont know cause when i type in the formula excel says the formula contains an error. im using excel 2007 and i tried both copying it and writing it. Maybe im doing something wrong? I see the displayed cells a blue one for the cell that will be the input and a green one for the table as a whole and i think i understand the command and it should work but it keeps saying formula has an error.

    To be honest i still dont know what i did wrong typing the formula but yes thats what i wanted it to do Really appricate your help both in time and fashion.
