What I'd like to do is beyond what I know in Excel...so far, I'd like to be able to do it using a formula. I've described it below I also uploaded a visual using screen shots that may explain it better.
What I have so far is:
workbook 2:
on sheet 1 the data base (for lack of a more accurate name). It is laid out with:
column A product codes
column B the individual products associated with each code (in the adjacent cell in column A). For example cell A2 would have 5 being the product code for blue soap showing in B2. data base.jpg
sheet 1 (workbook 1) is the sales tracker.
B1 date, A2 account number. A5 to A12 product codes.
B5 to B12 individual products sold to the account number (cell A2).
I have vlookup for the product codes (in each cell A5 to A12), the individual products sold are automatically populated in column B in the adjacent cell in column B. This is working great. tracker.JPG
I need to take this a bit further for daily and monthly sales tracking.
I have workbook 1/sheet2 set up in columns. Each column has the date for each day of the month in row 1.
What I’d like to do is have a formula(s) to do the following:
workbook 1/ sheet 2 list each of the daily sales by each product name that sold to each account number according to 2 criteria: 1) date, 2) account number (colored background), along with product code. So at the end of each day there would be a list of all products (with product codes) that sold that day. This .jpg may explain it better: Dialy results.jpg
Any help that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
