How to sort month and year into oldest to new (A-Z)

Looking for help to sort attached file data (Dates Month Year) by ascending order.

Your months and years shall be excel dates (at the moment they are texts, which only look like a date).

its from pivot table, you can sort pivot table dates, I will appreciate that thanks.

Please see the attached file, its SORTED now.

Its pivot table, but data in "Month Year" are texts not dates (check it yourself and try to add 100 to Q3 in source sheet).
If it were date, you can do that.
As for me - EOT.

edit: To note what cbatrody did - have a look into Q column in source. There are dates in his solution - exactly as I wrote above.

As Kaper rightly pointed out Pivot table date field was not getting SORTED because of the following formula:
=+TEXT(O3498,"mmm-yy")

I would change the formula on the OBOOK sheet
Column Q for the Month Year

=O3-DAY(O3)+1

This makes it a real date that the pivot table itself can sort on it's own.
The date represents the first of the month.

Then you can apply a custom format to the pivot table field as mmm-yy

Got it and you change the formula to =EOMONTH(O3,0)
