Array Formula will Not Copy/Paste

Using Excel 2007
I have an array formula that worked fine on an older spreadsheet (spreadsheet 1). When I copy and paste into another spreadsheet (spreadsheet 2), it pasts as "text."

Here are the steps I take:
I highlight the formula in spreadsheet 1
Right click - copy > paste
Go to spreadsheet 2 formula bar
Right click - copy > paste
Click Ctrl+Shift+Enter

It doesn't paste as a formula, the entire formula pastes into the cell as if the = sign were not in front of the formula (and it is).

Not sure if this is a common problem and can be figured out without sending both spreadsheets.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the cell formatted as text? If so change the format to number/general/whatever is appropriate and then re-enter the formula.
