Grouping Dates

Hello,

I am an Excel 2013 user and I am looking for a function that will return a column of numbers corresponding to a column of dates, giving different numbers for unique dates, but the same number for repeated dates.

For example:

1/6/2013 1
1/6/2013 1
1/6/2013 1
1/6/2013 1
1/7/2013 2
1/7/2013 2
1/7/2013 2
1/8/2013 3
1/8/2013 3
1/8/2013 3
1/9/2013 4
1/9/2013 4
1/9/2013 4
1/9/2013 4



Is there any function out there that can do this?

Assume your dates are in Column A.
In B1 type 1
in B2 type =IF(A2=A1,B1,B1+1) and copy it down.
