i am trying to complete a spreadsheet which most of it is done but one column i have
i have to average everyother square in each column which i did but when i total those columns at the end i get the dreaded #div/01
which means any value that i dont have in a particular column it will not add is there anyway to fix this. i am attaching a sample of the spreadsheet
so you can see exactly what i am trying to do .

One way would be to wrap your formulae in an =IFERROR(your_formula,"")

In the attached file I changed...well... pretty much all of your formulas to take advantage of Excel 2010's capabilities.
Particularly: SUMIF, AVERAGEIF, and IFERROR
Is that something you can work with?

• Edit the formula in S3 on the PICKING sheet. You'll see that, now that you inserted a row, the AVERAGEIF function is referencing Row_1 instead of Row_2. Correct that and the formulas will work.
• The formulas in the summary section also need adjusting. They reference rows 2 through 101 instead of rows 3 through 102.
Once you understand those formulas, you'll be able to apply them to the RECEIVING sheet.
