    How to hide certain symbols

I use an excel spreadsheet alot for billing in the construction industry. There are premade formulas in this spreadsheet. When no input value is present, the total column(s) either show a "$0.00" or show "#DIV/0!". How do I hide these results for the rows that do not yet have any input? I have seen it done on other speadsheets, i just cant figure out how to do it.

    See attached example.

For the $0.00, you could put =if(Formula=0,"",Formula). In this case, Formula is the formula you are using that is returning $0.00. And, for the #DIV/0!, you can use =iferror(Formula,""). Again, Formula represents the formula currently returning the #DIV/0 error.

    I hope this helps.

worked like a charm. that "=iferror(formula,"") especially is useful. figured out that i can put a value between the "" and that is what will show up in place of the error symbol.

    thank you for your help
