    Question Concatenate whole number

    Hi All,

    456789123

    I have this kind of number, which i need to change to 456-789123 with an "-" after 3rd number....

    i tried below formula...

    gives me 456-789123 perfect... but in below two scenarios it gives me wrong answer... Please help...

    If 456089123 gives 456-89123 (Avoids Zero) answer should be 456-089123

    If 056789123 gives 567-89123 (Avoids first letter zero) answer should be 056-789123

    Please help in tackling this two cases with formula....

    =LEFT(E6,3)&"-"&MID(E6,4,6)

    Either format the cell as text or as a number with leading zeros (custom format).
