Charting in EXCEL 2010

I have a time series chart comparing a few series.

Some of these series have missing values, in this case the time series dips to zero then returns to the next point.

Is there a way I can join the series without the dip? Or even just avoid the dip?

I ended up taking the average of the points either side. Happy to hear if anyone else has something more elegant..

If the cells with missing values are truely empty then you can set, via the Select Data dialog, for points to be interpolated.
If the missing values are actual formula returning "" to represent missing then this will be treated as zero as it is text. Instead return NA() which the chart will again interpolate.
