Chart isn't displaying all my dates

I have my excel file attached

Both graphs don't graph all my data

    For example

My barbells graph only graphs the weight of the lifts up to January 3rd when I have data in there up to January 10th...

and I am having the same issue with my chin ups graph....what am I doing wrong here??

Hi, the horizontal axis maximum usually set as automatic by Excel.

To modify the maximum, try right click on your dates in the horizontal axis and choose [Format Axis]. Goto [Axis Options] and change the radio option for [Maximum] from "Auto" to "Fixed", then change the textbox from "1/1/2014" to "31/1/2014"

That's interesting, see attached if this is what you're looking for barbells graph.

Yes, that's it, how did you do it; was it just the process that you stated in the first reply? Because I am having the same issue (even with the one you fixed) for chin ups too.

I think I am doing something wrong with how my data is imputing

I was told, stating a specific column as a name and then making its series reference [ =OFFSET(Training!$B$3,0,0,COUNTA(Training!$B:$B)-1) ]...(for column B obviously) that this would auto update my graph

But its not...which i don't understand because on my other tab, for my actual weight the graph for that updates fine using the the above...

By the way, thanks for the help so far..

Re: Chart isn't displaying all my dates

The problem is the dynamic named range formula is not picking up the correct data.
The current formula for Back_Squat is =OFFSET(Training!$B$2,0,0,COUNTA(Training!$B:$B)-1)
with translates to the range Training!B2:B8

The COUNTA function returns 7, which is correct, but it does not take into account the empty cells.

Use the TrainingDates named range as a reference point to offset from to get correct data values and dates entered.

    Back_Squat: =OFFSET(TrainingDates,0,1)
    Cheers

Alright Andy, I changed Back_Squat like you posted, and changed all the other columns to =OFFSET(TrainingDates,0,1) also but now when I click on the references of the other columns they all highlight the back_squat column

Re: Chart isn't displaying all my dates

If you used the same formula for the other they will all be pointing to the Back_Squat set of cells.
You need to change the number of columns to offset.

    Back_Squat is 1,
Front_Squat is 2, so the formula would be, =OFFSET(TrainingDates,0,2)
    Deadlift is 3.

Hopefully you get the idea for the rest.
