Creating a Work/Capacity profile chart for my department

Folks I need your help

I am trying to create a work bank and dashboard to show how much work we have on compaired to our capacity.
I don’t know how best to display the information as we get a lot of requests for work yet we have a limited amount of resourcing.

I have a spread sheet as an example showing our capacity and the amount of estimated time that a sample task will take place.

I am having difficulty showing the “task time”as cumulative numbers rather than just a spike. And I don’t know how to get the task time then to drop off at the appropriate date.

E.g. Today would be Monday and I have a new task which I to take 3 days. Thus I want to show 1 full day of work time being distributed over 3 days and then on Thursday the work drops to 0.

If a second task was then added on Tuesday that is 5 days long then I want to show 2 days worth of “task time” from Tuesday – Wednesday with it then dropping to 1 day from Thursday and carrying into Monday of the next week.
What is the simplest way of doing this?
