Dumb question: How to make this line graph?

OK, I feel really dumb not being able to do this, but I have a column of order numbers, a column of dates, and a column of which region each order belongs to. I would like a line graph that shows how many orders each region is posting each day. I can't quite figure out how to get this chart from the information that I have. I have data going back over a year, so I don't want to have to tally how many orders each or my 12 regions posted each day by hand...

Can anyone help me out with this?

    THANK YOU!!!

so what time period did you want to plot - the daily total
probably use a pivot chart - which will count the orders per day
it would be useful to see a sample of your data
    see the example attached

the data sheet and the chart-1 sheet

I'd like a chart of the last year that looks something like this:

    example chart.PNG

My data looks something like this:
    Order number Date Entered Region
    123 2-Jan 1
    356 5-Jan 2
    325 2-Jan 3
    225 9-Jan 1
    498 5-Jan 2
    654 7-Jan 1
    789 5-Jan 5
    321 3-Jan 4

Something like this might help you. You can change the chart type by right clicking on a column in the chart, Change Chart type and find a chart type the suits your needs. To get multiple lines, one for each region, you will need a column for each region's values and not in a straight list like you have.

Personally, I think the line chart might be a bit confusing in this case if you have a lot of data. That is up to you.

This second file shows your data with columns for each region.
