I have a series of x,y data for a Normal Distribution bell curve. I would like to have different sections of the bell curve to show different colors. Can one do this with Excel? I've tried manipulating the series data, so that one series would contain the first part of my x,y data, and the next series would contain another part of my x,y data. But instead of allowing them to be sequential, Excel seem to want to be put them together to make a comparison between them.
I've tried different styles of graphs (lines, area, column) and I seem to run into the same problem with each of them.
For example, if I use my x,y data to make an area graph, the whole area is the same color. What I would like is for parts of the area to show different colors. My x axis has values from -800 to 800. I would like the area between -200 and 200 to be one color, and the area under the rest to be another color. Is this possible with Excel?
