Changing line color in a scatterplot without reconnecting points - A seemingly easy task..

    Hi!

I'm posting because I have a scatterplot with 100 points, with each 5 points connected by a line, and with each group of 5 points disconnected from one another. Whenever I try to change the line color for the chart, it reconnects all of my groupings. Is there any way around this?

can you post example file to help illustrate you problem.

also what affect are you trying to create with the disconnection and colouration?

I attached an example file I just made. Basically, I want to change the color of the line attaching the points without reattaching the points where the line has been disconnected. I have to change the color of the line in some data I'm preparing for publication, with over 300 points in each graph, and they aren't always disconnected in equal intervals, so I'm trying to avoid having to change the line color, and then go back and re-separate them.

    Thanks!

If you select a data point, rather than the series, then the gap should remain.

If you used X and Y values you could simple include gaps in your data.
