Pivot table - icon choices

Hi guys,

I am trying to make sense of a small survey I have carried out.

We supplied some children with a sheet asking them to put their age, and to then circle up to 5 of their favorite animal icons.

This data was entered in a spreadsheet with a column for age, and then columns for 'icon 1' 'icon 2' 'icon 3' 'icon 4' and 'icon 5', then the name of the icon entered below. (see attached picture)

In the pivot table I want to show for instance how many 5 year olds chose the horse icon. It doesn't matter if it was choice1, or choice 5 - I just want the overall number! I can only seem to show per icon eg how many 5 years olds chose rocket for their first choice (icon 1). I just want the overall number! Please help

I did not realise I couldn't post the same question on separate websites and their forums. I did not know they were owned/managed by the same people. I thought I was maximising my chances of my issue being seen by other people. How am I to know people frequent multiple forums?

When one asks a question in a store, he does not then refuse to ask the same question in another store for fear that an employee may work in both.
