Copying embedded charts from chart sheet

Hi,

I have several embedded charts on a chart sheet (i.e. not on a worksheet) and would like to copy the individual charts as pictures into Word. However, I cannot copy the charts individually - I can only copy the entire chart sheet. If I try to copy the individual chart (either copy or copy as picture), then nothing is copied to the clipboard. Is it possible to copy the individual charts?

Hi Derek,
You can do by the camera tool of excel. Go to Quick Access Toolbar, than add "camera" to the exsisting tools.
Than after you selected an area by the cursor click on the camera button. (you should select the grid, not the chart).
Than you can can insert it anywhere.

There is no grid to select because the charts are on a chartsheet, not a worksheet. Thanks for the tip though.

Looks like a bug. It does not work either through the UI or via code.

work arounds would be,

move to worksheet for purposes of making image
have duplicates on worksheet
create image and crop it

Thanks Andy. I've just been cropping the images which is okay.
