    pivot table issue

Can anyone help with the following?

I don't mind manipulating the data into a different layout initially, but I would like the final output to be in pivot table format so that you can instantly drill down using 'show details'.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello and Welcome to the forum....a couple of questions

    1) what are you wanting to use for dates?....Join Date or Leave Date?
    2) your output table doesn't match your data...is it just a sample and not reflective of the data set?

    thanks....

    Thanks judgeh59.

The output is supposed to use both the join date and leave date. The idea is that the output table shows how many people (by group) were 'employed' at each month end.
E.g. 2 people in group 1 joined before April month end but didn't leave until after April month end- so the output for is Apr12 is two.

Hopefully the output table now makes sense.

    Thanks.
