Putting in markers to identify certain dates on the x-axis with a dynamic chart

Hi, so I have data that I can retrieve based on an input start, end time and time interval between measurements. Based on these inputs, I have made a dynamic chart that will plot the date on the x axis and flow on the y axis. However, I have certain dates that I want to mark indicating some type of work being done, and I am wondering how I can include a set list of dates that will show up if those dates fall in between my input start and end time? Thank-you and I can post my spreadsheet for further clarification.

It's been a couple of days, and no one has responded. If you are still monitoring this, I think the details of the solution will depend on whether you are using a line chart or a scatter chart. As I almost exclusively use scatter charts, here's one thought including a 2nd series:

    1) Build a 2nd table with the "fixed" dates.

    2) Add that table as a 2nd data series. Using a scatter chart, you can tell Excel to use the left column of this second table as the X values for this series, so it will plot correctly.
    3) Format this 2nd series as desired.

Thanks, that's what I thought originally but something didn't click at the time. Anyways, I ended up doing something similar to that except I used a series of IF and OR statements to match a specified range of dates that I wanted to mark with zeroes.
