    Add subtotal in Pivot Table

    Hi,

Despite setting the field to => subtotal&filter => custom => sum, I can not see the subtotal of column d.

Is it possible to sort the subtotal in decreasing order?

Please refer to attachment for clearer picture.

    Thank you.

Re: Add subtotal in Pivot Table

hi there~ the strange addition from D18 onwards seem to be caused by the input of subtotal in column D. it doesn't make sense to put a subtotal in the last portion of your row labels. the subtotal is when you have more than 1 sub-category from a main one. for eg. Name can have a subtotal because it has sub-categories in column B, C & D. company Name has sub-categories in column C & D. and so on. maybe you can just type out the table you wish to see. pivot tables normally require an amount & people want to see the breakdown of it. since Market cap seems to be the only amount here, i'm assuming you should put Market Cap in Values & remove Field1, which you don't seem to have anything.
