    Post creating pivot table from different files

    Dear all
    i have 5 files having same header and values are different.
    I want to insert a pivot table to have all that value.
    How can i do that?

    for your request , normal way is join all sheet into one sheet ,use excel oledb sql source
    , For Not very frequent data updating process .

    Ideally you would consolidate all your data into 1 sheet and then create the pivot.

    If not possible Excel has the Pivot table wizard that allows you to select from diff sheets/workbooks.

    This option was available from the start of pivot construction in excel 2003.
    This disappeared in 2007 and onwards, but you can still add that option using Alt+D+P (If you have excel in english) or by manually adding the Pivot Table and PivotChart Wizard to your menu ribbon.

    Again, the best option is to consolidate your data in 1 sheet and create pivot from there.
