How to sort Numbers & Text in one column -- Pivot mixes them up

Hi Guys

I am new to Pivot tables.
I want to have my Row Labels in the same order as they are on the source sheet. Excel resorts them alphabet wise. I then created a concatenated column prefixed with numbers. Did not work. Then added a 0 prefix.But still messed about. This makes it very difficult for me to share.

How can i force excel not to resort or can i once it is open to revert to how it was / is.

Have included a sample. Hope it's OK.

Do you mean like the attached? Although I'm not entirely sure why you want a pivot table to replicate exactly what you already have. Sledgehammer and nut come to mind. Or is this just a very simple example of a larger pivot table?

It is because it is easier to use the Filter and the basic order is in place and i can hide the ones i don't need. I have to discuss it with others.

I have not been able to reproduce it. Sorry but I am studying this but something as basic has not come up on the courses I am studying. And i kina need the answers for tomorrow morning though I can build a workaround.

The word education has its origins in Latin "educare" which means to rear, bring up or lead through. My education is more reinventing the wheal. How much quicker to be shown something therefore allowing my mind free to add to it.
