Custom chart title based on cell value and constant text value

Hi,

I have a chart. I want to make the chart title equal to somethign like this

=Sheet1!$E$1 & "extra stuff"

where the title is dependent on whats in cell E1 and some extra text

but for some reason when i try this it does not work.

Now, i know i could set E1=Whats already in E1 + extra stuff...............was hoping i would not have to do this..........

i could not figure it out so i went with this.....see enclosed file.

I just concatenated on the worksheet E1 and "extra-stuff" and stored result in say G1.......so now in my chart i just reference a single cell G1
