Non numerical data and Dynamic Chart/Graph

I have data separated in to columns that I use to keep up with laptop inventory for a small business. I track the Laptop Model, Serial Number, User, Version of Windows, etc. I would like to create a Dynamic Chart that shows all of the users who are using for example Windows XP and all the users that are using Windows 7. I can get it to filter the data but not with Chart's and Graphs. I would like to be able to click on the chart/graph of the Windows XP users and it bring up those users. Can someone point me in the right direction of what i'm trying to do.
