Attaching ActiveX control to a graph/plot....

Hi,

I have a scatter plot, and would like to attach an activeX control to it, so when the chart is dragged, the activeX control stays put with it. I tried to cut and paste it onto the graph, but seems excel converted it to a simpler Form widget. How mean. I can "group" the activeX widgets, then group the group with the plot, but dragging the plot doesn't drag the group along.

Any solutions to this?

I do appreciate it....

You can not embed activex controls within a chart.

What type of control are you using?

I am using comboboxes and optionbuttons, in ActiveX format rather than Form, and would like to group them or attach them to a chart on a sheet so they are dragged with the chart. There is more that one chart, that's why it's on a sheet with others. Why can't they be grouped? Do I have to resort to Forms?

Because excel does not allow it. Yes you will have to use form controls if you want them embeded.

Unfortunately when you paste and OptionButton Form on a Chart it doesn't seem to be clickable anymore. Left and right click both select the Form widget, instead of changing its state.

Looks like the new charts do not support embedded controls of either type. The controls are turned into pictures.

The form controls work only if you're using a chert sheet, not if using a chart embedded in a worksheet. Seems MS Excel gets worse with every upgrade.

I suppose one could write events that connect drag of charts to movement of controls. Not touching that
