How to draw an horizontal bar showing a range of values?

Dear all,

need to draw a thick orizontal bar on a line graph to show a range of values. How to do it?

I know I can just draw a line and then increase the weight. What I need though is to link it to the data I have so that by changing the range of data, e.g. from 1-5 to 1-10, excel automatically makes my bar thicker!

Here's a column chart that will give the effect you describe. You can lay it over anything on the spreadsheet, even another graph. Resize it according to you needs, change the color, ect.

Is this something you can use?
