Dynamic chart: problem with the x-axis

    Hello,

I have created a dynamic chart using the below table:
    Time Convergence (in)
    0 0.00
    36 -0.12
    43 -0.12
    48 0.00

I am planning to add more rows to the table. I have also created an X Y scatter plot of the data. I want the plot to be updated everytime I eneter new data, so I created the dynamic chart. But the x-axis values on the plot are 1, 2, 3, and 4 instead of 0, 36, 43, and 48. But when I ONLY choose the first 4 rows, the xvalues are plotted correctly.
Does anybody know what's causing this or how to fix this. I'd appreciate your help.

you need to show us the dynamic references and the series forumla.

Why not simple post a workbook rather than static pictures that do not tell the whole story.
    Cheers

    Hey Andy,

That is a very good idea. I was distracted at the moment and didn't think of that myself.
    Here you go.

Re: Dynamic chart: problem with the x-axis

Simply delete the contents of range B6:B21.

There is non numeric data in there that is causing the chart to default to an x axis of incremental values.

Re: Dynamic chart: problem with the x-axis

    Andy,

My intention is to creat a plot that is updated everytime I enter new data. If I delete B6:B22, then how can the plot be updated?

Your file with the cells contents deleted.

The chart now has the correct x-axis and new data is automatically included.

Thank you so much Andy. May I ask how you solved the problem?

As I said originally, "delete the contents of range B6:B21".

Re: Dynamic chart: problem with the x-axis

    Andy,

I understand what you did. But deleting the contents of B6:B22 causes another problem. The original intend is to have a main sheet that contains the input data. Then I created another sheet for each column of data in the main sheet (see attachment). As you can see from the chart, there is going to be 12 more sheets like the "Calibration" sheet (and more to add in future). If I delete the contents, then I have to update each sheet one by one and it becomes very time consuming. Now that you know what my problem is, is there a way that I can enter data in "All" sheet so that every other sheet is updated along with their corresponding plots?

    change you formula then.

    =IF(All!B4>0,All!B4-All!$B$3,NA())
