How to show RAG chart option in Excel Chart

Hi all,

I would like to show a RAG status in my chart or table. I have 14 files for 3 customers which should be coming in everyday. If the files do not come in on those days then I would like to show a RED status and if less then 14 then AMBER and if 14 then GREEN. The source data is 1000's of lines long as it consists of all File transfers for everyday and many customers.
so I did a pivot table to show the customers I need but I am not sure how to compare or show if it is 14 or not and then how to display this?

Am perplexed! Any help would be greatly appreciated ;-)

Okay..

Your comment says " I also need to show missing dates and where there is blank? "

I checked that In pivot, for week 41, we have dates 10/09/2012 to 10/12/2012 and this is what we have in pivot data source i.e., "GDSP MFT Report wc 15102012 iw " hence no date missing.... can you check again? Thanks.

Hi that is correct. what i meant was i need to add in dates where there are no files but try and show that as 0 in my table? For the moment this is something I can work on if my explanation is not correct ;-0

Hi newbieexcelgirl,

So those dates should be first added in pivot data source and after adding the dates there, when you'll refresh the pivot, you should be able to see those dates, see attached.

ok.. for RAG status, see the attached file.. press Alt+ O + D and see the formula to understand more.. thanks.

If you need to revise (edit) the conditional formatting logics, you can do so there as I pointed in my previous post.
