Changing all columns in a chart to display a series name label

    Hi everyone,

I built a column chart, and I'm trying to add a series data label to all the columns in the chart, but as far as I can see it's possible to do that only by choosing each column apart, and adding a series data label.
I tried to do that by right click on the table itself and also by going to chart tools menu -> layout -> data tables.
Trying to do that from the chart tools menu did add/remove all value data labels, but trying to add a series label through there worked only on the first column.
I attached a sample as well.

Is that an excel bug or i'm missing something?

    Thank you,

    Moty

I would like to know how I can change the "Format data labels" of ALL the columns in the chart to "Series Name".

If you select the chart you can apply Value data labels to all the series via the ribbon Chart Tools > Layout > Labels > Data Labels > Outside end.
If you want to alter the data labels at all you will need to do each series individually.

If you select range A1:C11 and create a column chart the chart will contain 1 series and the axis labelling will define region and gender. Then you only have 1 series to apply data labels too.
