Create a line graph to represent Speed

    Speed in m/s
    8.89
    13.33
    17.78
    22.22
    26.67
    31.11

    Distance Model Gap in m

    12
    23
    36
    53
    73
    96

Hello I want to make a line graph where Speed in m/s is on the horizontal axis and Distance Model Gap in m is on the vertical axis. I want just one line on the graph to represent these figures. I've tried highlighting the data and creating a graph but it shows 2 lines on the graph, one for each section of data. I hope this makes sense? Cheers in advance.

This sounds like you want a scatter plot rather than what spreadsheets call a line graph. Easiest way will be to put the data into a nice table with 2 columns: speed in the left column and distance in the right column. Select the table, insert chart, and tell it to insert an XY scatter chart with lines.

Select the data, Insert > Scatter (pick one you like). Right-click the series, Change Series Chart Type > Line
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
