Excluding duplicate values from Pivot Tables?

I have a table of six projects accross two regions. Each project got multiple vendors. I need to create pivot table showing the count of the (SIX) projects/region. The problem is pivot table count duplicate project name (due to multiple vendors/rows attached to the same project). How can I overcome the duplicate project name & count each project ONCE in the pivot table? please see attached simple report. Thank uuu
